Pages vs Word vs Docs
Pages and Word are general-purpose word processors, while Google Docs is a browser-based, collaborative document editing service.
Apple Pages
Apple Pages is just a simpler, more polished, more aesthetically pleasing, though less powerful version of Microsoft Word. It has some collaboration features, but they are not as good as Google Docs. Also, the collaboration is limited only to Apple devices.
Microsoft Word
Word is a traditional word processor, allowing you to create and save documents, format text with headings, bold and italic, etc. It is suitable for everything, but not very good at one particular thing.
Google Docs
Google Docs has less formatting options than Pages and Word, but it is still a very powerful tool. Its signature feature is the ability to reliably collaborate on documents with other people, in real time, on every device.
